Today, Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid are calling the shots in a Union-Label White House and Congress.

So it’s easy to see why the past two years have been a dream come true for Big Labor.

Now, with the November 2 elections rapidly approaching, the union bosses are doing everything they can to hang on to their massive Congressional majorities.

And they’re hoping you WILL NOT read this letter.

You see, the union bosses don’t want you to know which candidates stand with them, and which ones stand with the nearly 80% of Americans that oppose forced unionism.

That’s why I recently sent each of your candidates for U.S. House and Senate a Right to Work Candidate Survey — and why your IMMEDIATE action is needed.

Today, I’m pleased to report to you that Republican Senate candidate Ken Buck and Republican Congressional candidate Scott Tipton have both answered their Candidate Surveys in 100% opposition to forced unionism.

But, I have bad news, too.

So far, Democrat incumbent U.S. Senator Michael Bennet and Democrat incumbent U.S. Congressman John Salazar have refused to pledge 100% opposition to forced unionism.

But John Salazar’s pro-forced-unionism position is no secret.

You see, as a Congressman, John Salazar voted FOR Big Labor’s cherished Card Check Forced Unionism Bill.

If passed, not only would this dangerous bill strip workers of their right to a secret ballot election when union organizers target their workplaces, but it would CRUSH our fragile economy, as well.

Not only that, but Congressman Salazar also voted for the Police and Firefighter Monopoly Bargaining Bill — one of Big Labor’s most far-reaching power grabs.

If passed, this bill could force ALL police officers and firefighters nationwide under union boss control and would wreck state and local budgets.

Now, Big Labor has funneled hundreds of thousands of dollars into both Michael Bennet’s and John Salazar’s campaigns.

It looks like Big Labor can’t wait for Michael Bennet and John Salazar to go back to Washington, D.C. to vote for more forced unionism.

That’s why you need to turn U.S. Senator Michael Bennet and Congressman John Salazar around — before it’s too late.

The fact is, AFL-CIO Boss Richard Trumka and his union boss cohorts have accumulated a one BILLION dollar forced-dues-funded political war chest to smash all Big Labor opposition.

And if they succeed, “Card Check” and the Police and Firefighter Monopoly Bargaining Bill would be just the tip of the iceberg.

The union bosses’ forced-dues wish list also includes:

Passage of a bill that would force ALL state and local public employees across the country under Big Labor’s thumb;

Passage of the so-called “Striker Replacement” Bill, which would force employers to punish workers who decide to work during a strike and virtually guarantee even the most outrageous union boss demands must be met;

Repeal of Section 14(b) of the Taft-Hartley Act, wiping out ALL state Right to Work laws nationwide.

Can you imagine the damage even ONE of these bills could do to our economy?

Especially now? Especially considering the economic uncertainty, the lost jobs and the stock market rollercoaster we’ve seen over the past several months?

That’s why it’s crucial you contact ALL of your candidates for the U.S. House and Senate TODAY.

Here’s what you can do to help:

1)	Contact Democrat incumbent Senator Michael Bennet and Democrat incumbent Congressman John Salazar, and urge them to return their Candidate Surveys in 100% opposition to the union bosses’ forced-dues agenda.

Please, also, DEMAND that John Salazar apologize for his votes for “Card Check” and the Police and Firefighter Monopoly Bargaining Bill;

2)	Contact Republican Senate candidate Ken Buck and Republican House candidate Scott Tipton, and thank them for standing up to Big Labor and pledging 100% opposition to forced unionism.

With so much at stake this year, we’re really stretching our budget to put the heat on the candidates and keep opponents of forced unionism informed.

I find this very interesting reading, so let’s keep it going if you agree. It only takes a few days on the Internet and this will have reached 75% of the public in the U.S.A. Seniors need to stand up for what is right, not what the politicians want or big Corporations want. I JUST replied to AARP on their renewal form that I will not support an organization that supports healthcare takeover, SEIU, ACORN and all the other leftwing socialist programs being rammed down our throats by Nancy Pelosi and her radical wing that hijacked the Democratic Party.

We as a country need to WAKE UP. This was sent to Mr. Rand who is the Executive Director of AARP.

THIS LADY NOT ONLY HAS A GRASP OF ‘THE SITUATION’ BUT AN INCREDIBLE COMMAND OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE!

Dear Mr. Rand:

Recently you sent us a letter encouraging us to renew our lapsed membership in AARP by the requested date. I know it is not what you were looking for, but this is the most honest response I can give you. Our gap in coverage is merely a microscopic symptom of the real problem, a deepening lack of faith.

While we have proudly maintained our membership for several years and have long admired the AARP goals and principles, regrettably, we can no longer endorse it’s abdication of our values. Your letter specifically stated that we can count on AARP to speak up for our rights, yet the voice we hear is not ours. Your offer of being kept up to date on important issues through DIVIDED WE FAIL presents neither an impartial view nor the one we have come to embrace. We do believe that when two parties agree all the time on everything presented to them, one is probably not necessary. But, when the opinions and long term goals are diametrically opposed, the divorce is imminent. This is the philosophy which spawned our 200 years of government.

Once upon a time, we looked forward to being part of the senior demographic. We also looked to AARP to provide certain benefits and give our voice a power we could not possibly hope to achieve on our own. AARP gave us a sense of belonging which we no longer enjoy. The Socialist politics practiced by the Obama administration and empowered by AARP serves only to raise the blood pressure my medical insurance strives to contain. Clearly a conflict of interest there!

We do not understand the AARP posture, feel greatly betrayed by the guiding forces that we expected to map out our senior years and leave your ranks with a great sense of regret. We mitigate that disappointment with the relief of knowing that we are not contributing to the problem anymore by renewing our membership. There are numerous other organizations which offer discounts without threatening our way of life or offending our sensibilities.

This Presidential Administration scares the living daylights out of us. Not just for ourselves, but for our proud and bloodstained heritage. But even more importantly for our children and grandchildren. Washington has rendered Soylent Green a prophetic cautionary tale rather than a nonfiction scare tactic. I have never in my life endorsed any militant or radical groups, yet now I find myself listening to them. I don’t have to agree with them to appreciate the fear which birthed their existence. Their borderline insanity presents little more than a balance to the voice of the Socialist mindset in power. Perhaps I became American by a great stroke of luck in some cosmic uterine lottery, but in my adulthood I CHOOSE to embrace it and nurture the freedoms it represents as well as the responsibilities it requires.

Your website generously offers us the opportunity to receive all communication in Spanish. ARE YOU KIDDING??? Someone has broken into our ‘house’, invaded our home without our invitation or consent. The President has insisted we keep the perpetrator in comfort and learn the perp language so we can communicate our reluctant welcome to them. We do not need to reform our immigration laws, we just need to enforce the ones we already have. After all we are not talking about immigrants we are talking about illegals.

I DON’T choose to welcome them.

I DON’T choose to support them.

I DON’T choose to educate them.

I DON’T choose to medicate them, pay for their food or clothing.

American home invaders get arrested.

Please explain to me why foreign lawbreakers can enjoy privileges on American soil that Americans do not get?

Why do some immigrants have to play the game to be welcomed and others only have to break & enter to be welcomed?

We travel for a living. Walt hauls horses all over this great country, averaging over 10,000 miles a month when he is out there. He meets more people than a politician on caffeine overdose. Of all the many good folks he enjoyed on this last 10,000 miles, this trip yielded only ONE supporter of the current administration. One of us is out of touch with mainstream America . Since our poll is conducted without funding, I have more faith in it than one which is power driven.

We have decided to forward this to everyone on our mailing list, and will encourage them to do the same. With several hundred in my address book, I have every faith that the eventual exponential factor will make a credible statement to you.

I am disappointed as hell. I am scared as hell.

I am MAD as hell, and I’m NOT gonna take it anymore!

73% of Voting Americans haven’t wanted this monstrosity thrust down their throats, but the Obama WH Progressives-Liberals-Democrats, better known as left-wing Bottom-Feeder Scum voted for the monstrosity bill, despite 73% not wanting the stinking legislation.

If anyone thinks this is for health care, than you better think again. The entire legislation is about “absolute” control over every aspect of our lives. Make no mistake about it, that’s exactly what the left-wing Bottom-Feeder Scum are wanting. And I suspect that’s what they will be proceeding to next. Pelosi has already stated there will be a lot more legislation coming. She made that promise already. Do you want to guess what kind of legislation that might be?

Take for example, if they don’t want you smoking in your own house, then they will just add another amendment to the current bill outlawing smoking in your own house, or any where on your property. Same thing for your automobile. Canada has already passed just such a law under their health care bill.

If they don’t like guns, which they don’t, then they will simply write another amendment outlawing guns, because guns are bad for your health. If they don’t like you eating potato chips, well guess what, another amendment and you can’t eat potato chips or any other food they deem inappropriate. If they don’t want you fishing in that lake, then they will add another amendment, stating that fish from that lake are bad for your health. So no more fishing there. If they don’t like you playing football in that park, well guess what. No more football in that park. After all, it’s bad for your health. Don’t you see, they can simply add anything they want to add. You’ll likely never know about it, until its too late. The police will be hauling your ass off to jail, because you violated their law.

And the list goes on and on and on. There will be no end to the legislation the left-wing bastards and bitches will be adding as amendments under the so called Health Care Bill. Mark my words folks, that’s exactly what will be happening….and soon!

The only redeeming issue at this point will be taking back our House and Senate, starting with the 2010 elections. Let’s make it a real point to vote out ALL Progressives-Liberals-Democrats, you know all those left-wing Bottom-Feeder Scum. You notice democrats comes last. You see, there aren’t really any “caring” democrats in the United States of Obama any more. It used to be the peoples party…Now that’s a JOKE! None of them listen to the people! Many democrats are switching parties as well. We welcome them. Right?

It really makes me sick folks. We used to have the best health care system in the world, bar none, in the United States of Something, but that is no more, if we allow them to get back by with this treason. And it is treason! All of those left-wing Bottom-Feeder Scum swore to uphold the Constitution, but they’ve completely ignored that wonderful paper written by our Founding Fathers. It’s been replaced by the left-leaning bastards and bitches.

As for Obama, Pelosi and Reid and the remaining left-wing Bottom-Feeder Scum, they will all go down in history as absolute degenerates who had no regard for the Constitution or our Rule of Law in this country. I suspect that GOD has a special place for all of those left-wingers in HELL, not HIS Heaven. They won’t stop, just GO straight to HELL. We can thank GOD for that event. I’m certain GOD is aware of this plight.

Perhaps one day we will get back to the United Sates of Something. Only the Conservatives and maybe Republicans can handle that for us. It must all be done legislatively. But so far they haven’t been doing much for the RIGHT side. In the meantime let’s vote all the left-wing Bottom-Feeder Scum out of office starting November 2010. Then vote out Obama and all his Chicago gangsters in 2012. When Obama goes, they all go. This must happen and I believe that it will. There are tens of thousands of good conservatives that can make this happen.

We have some fantastic Conservative-Republicans that will make extremely good candidates for President. So let’s vote that person in along with ALL Republicans in the House and Senate so we can take back our country from the left-wing Bottom-Feeder Scum. Note heavy on the word CONSERVATIVE!

May GOD Bless us all. Right now we need all the conservative help we can get to fight the left-wing Bottom-Feeder Scum!

You are quite right Mike. I too was aware of this Welfare Cell Phone issue being a short time before the anointed one. But it did seem so applicable. He was a senator in 2008 and more than likely did vote for it, unless he was already off campaigning for president. The taxpayers didn’t even get a straight deal from him during his so-called senatorial four years. He’s was campaigning for president 75% of the time.

You see, I have absolutely no use for Obama. Many millions of other good Americans feel the same way. Back in my 30′s I believed that Jimmy Carter was one of the worst presidents that ever walked the face of the earth. He was a deserved one term president. However, Obama, the anointed one, has him beat in all issues. This has nothing to do with race, but everything to do with total incompetence on Obama’s part. He should have never been elected to that office. Hell, he’s never really run anything in his lifetime. Never so much as a soda-pop stand. A hamburger shop or paperboy enterprise. I’m confident he would screw them up too. 80 percent of the public doesn’t want his ObamaCare, but Obama, Pelosi and Reed are determined to ram it down our throats. Maybe we can get it ultimately derailed in the senate. I don’t believe the Senate and House can reach a compromise with their separate abortion and public option issues. At least I hope that’s what happens. I’m praying for it daily.

Obama, Pelosi and Reid, with others, are forcibly driving us down a terrible path towards socialism, approaching communism, from which we might never return. He (they) must be stopped with any tools at hand.

I’m really worried about the state of affairs for this great country. Right now we have 106 trillion dollars of “unfunded debt” staring us in the face for years to come. My great grandkids will have to face these debts. I’m already retired and past that time. Very little of that debt from the Bush years. The majority from the last 11 months. We have 10.2 percent unemployment. In reality the number is over 17 percent, when including the many who have just quit looking for a job, no longer on the unemployment compensation rolls. Obama is selling out this country at every opportunity. That is his agenda.

The Fed is printing money at such a fast rate, I hate to see the inflation Obama and the Congress are pushing towards us. Once again, shades of Jimmy Carter. Good God what a mess they are creating. Do you remember 15%, then 20% etc inflation. It’s not a pretty site. The dollar becomes worthless. That’s why many are buying gold now. The dollar is going to hell. The dollar used to be the world standard. It seems like India just bought around 12 “tons” of gold in the last few days. That’s India, mind you!

Obama has been apologizing or bowing for America at every turn, when he should be talking about the great generosity of the Americans towards all of the world. No country, since time began, has been as generous towards all other nations, as the United States Citizens. Why isn’t he talking about this? Not only with contributed monies, but with thousands of soldier’s lives in democratic pursuits, struggles and wars.

I’m more than just a little bit disgusted with Obama. I’m doing everything I can to see that he and all other “liberal democrats” are voted out of office, when it comes around to each individual’s turn. Starting with the 2010 elections. We can change 1/3 of the Congress then. “Liberal democrats” must go! We must get rid of all the left-wing liberal democrats who are driving this great country right into oblivion. Salazar, Bennett and Udall are all less than worthless. They are pathetic. I thought Salazar was a blue dog. But when it came to ObamaCare, they “all” simply rubber-stamped what Obama and his minions desired. Paying no attention whatsoever to what the “voting public” wants. That being, we don’t want ObamaCare or anything resembling that 2000 page monstrosity. Our great U S Constitution, when printed, is under 20 pages. Obama and the Chicago mob want to cram over 2000 pages down our throats. They want total control of everything we do or say each and every day of our lives. It’s time for the other 20 to 30 percent of the public to wake up. 70 to 80 percent of us are already awake. We are sliding into socialism. God have mercy!

Personally I believe that Obama is a definite “One-Term President”. Thank God for that! He proves my point daily. Having the five Islamic-Jihadist Terrorist Radicals set for trial in New York City is just the latest occurrence, when 65% plus of the public doesn’t want in in NYC. It’s all for left-wing show! More pay back to the left-wing liberals. How can they hate Bush that much? Frankly voting Obama and his Chicago Mob out-of-office is all I want for each one of my birthdays, Thanksgivings and Christmas’ from now until election time 2010, then 2012. Let’s work towards that end. OK?

Frankly voting Obama and his Chicago Mob out-of-office is all I want for each one of my birthdays, Thanksgivings and Christmas’ from now until election time 2010, then 2012. Let’s work towards that end. OK?

The bill passed by only five votes – 220-215, after 39 Democrats refused to be bullied into supporting this monstrosity. And a monstrosity it is.

It requires all Americans to enroll in a “qualified plan.” If you get your insurance at work, your employer will have a “grace period” to switch you to a “qualified plan,” one which is designed by the secretary of health and human services.

What’s more, it provides that 18 months after the bill becomes law, the secretary of health and human services will decide what a “qualified plan” covers and how much you’ll be legally required to pay for it. Would you sign a bank loan that allowed the banker to decide 18 months later the interest rate and repayment terms?

The bill makes it clear that, although the “qualified plan” is not yet designed, it will be of the “one size fits all” category. The bill claims to offer choice, but the benefits are the same. Only the co-pays and deductibles differ. The bill says that when you file your federal income tax returns, you will have to include proof that you are in a “qualified plan.” If not, you will be fined thousands of dollars.

In one effort to “pay” for the so-called public option, the bill eviscerates Medicare by an estimated $500 billion. This at a time when the Baby Boom generation is getting ready to retire and enroll in Medicare.

But not to worry. Because Washington bureaucrats will decide what kind of care retirees can get – meaning how much or how little of it.

Rationing will be right around the corner.

Three sections of the bill initiate programs to reduce payments for patient care to what it costs in the lowest cost regions of the country. Boy, we can see doctors flocking to treat all those new Medicare Baby Boomers.

Of course, the Pelosis of this world tell us with certitude how much the total cost of this government boondoggle will cost the taxpayers. Don’t believe a word of it.

Rather, let history be the guide. In 1965, when Congress was considering Medicare legislation, the House Ways and Means Committee estimated that the hospital insurance portion of the program, Part A, would cost about $9 billion annually by 1990. But the actual cost by 1990 was $67 billion a year.

That same committee predicted the entire cost of Medicare by 1990 would be about $12 billion. Actual medicare spending in 1990 was $110 billion – off by nearly a factor of 10.

Two sections of the Pelosi plan establish racial and ethnic preferences in awarding grants for training nurses. Gee, we thought the Obama presidency was supposed to be post-racial.

The Pelosi plan forces the states to spend more on Medicaid at a time when state budgets are taking body blows from the sour economy. So, state taxes will have to go up or other state functions will have to absorb even more losses so the Medicaid welfare program can grow.

The Senate now takes up its own health plans in earnest – the president gave those deliberations a rah-rah send-off on Sunday. All we can hope is that Majority Leader Harry Reid can’t muster the 60 votes he needs to pass a Senate version of the monstrosity that would be government-run health care.

When the vast majority of Americans find out what’s in store for them, the politicians who support this madness will find themselves looking for employment elsewhere.

In his speech in France, Barack Obama called America “arrogant.”

I’m sure the French loved it – And so did the liberal press.

But who is this president who calls the American people arrogant?

This is the same politician whose supporters anointed him “The One” and a candidate who boasted that his election would be remembered as “the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal.”

This is the same man who indicated his disdain for small town and working Americans when he said they “cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them,” while addressing a group of San Francisco caviar and champagne liberal elitists.

How arrogant is that? Arrogant enough?

In truth, President Obama seems to champion the twisted “Blame-America First” mentality of the worst of the American left.

More importantly, it shows an absence of wisdom to criticize the United States while on foreign soil, and then join with the Pelosi-Reid Democrats in Congress to do everything possible to end American exceptionalism and create a weak, dependent socialist state patterned after the examples of Europe.

    * He has taken steps towards nationalizing American auto companies; firing executives while leaving in power the same Union Bosses who funded his campaign and helped cripple the U.S.’s manufacturing base.

    * He has refused to let financial firms pay back taxpayer-funded bailout loans, so he can make them hostages to the whims of the Federal government.

    * As a lawyer, Obama once sued the same financial institutions on behalf of radical groups like ACORN for failing to use leftist social engineering criteria for lending instead of an applicant’s ability to repay a loan.

    * He has opened up talks with Iran. Apparently, he believes he can make peace with crackpot tyrants and heartless terrorists simply by sitting down and talking.

    * He campaigned on “transparency” and “integrity” in government and then has nominated a rogue gallery of tax evaders, Washington bureaucrats, and lobbyists to run his Administration.

    * And he has brazenly followed his chief of staff’s maxim of “You never want a serious crisis to go to waste … This crisis provides the opportunity for us to do things that you could not do before” to cripple our free markets with massive taxation and spending that wrests away our freedoms and puts even our great-grandchildren in debt.

You know that Barack Obama’s hubris and charisma conceal the inexperience and lack of wisdom that our country cannot afford in its president.

And though the teleprompter and mainstream media liberals may delay America’s realization of the peril the Obama White House portends for our future for a while, the eventual failure of leftist policies and ineffective leadership will not.

We must be ready when that time comes.

And at least according to Fidel Castro, they were just as eager to apologize for America’s sins as Barack Obama has been.

Perhaps this group is acting with Obama’s blessing then.

This visit calls to mind the debate during the presidential campaign over whether it made sense to engage in high-level talks with dictators. The United States should always remain open to communicating with dictatorships about how they can move toward freedom. But if there’s no willingness to reform, then the dictator only gains credibility from being engaged. And what’s more, he gains the opportunity to portray America’s views about him and his regime.

In this case, I have no idea whether the Congressional Democrats who visited Cuba really compared the Castro regime to the ANC. I don’t know if they really expressed admiration for Cuba’s tremendous scientific advances. I don’t know if they really said it was necessary for the United States to apologize to Cuba, or if they said that ‘the anti-Cuban right wing’ would defeat Obama in 2012 if he fully lifted the embargo. Looking at the delegation, it’s entirely possible. Or Castro may be making it all up in order to elevate himself in the eyes of an oppressed populace.

And the Democrats want to take even more from the wealthy:

“Mr Obama intends to squeeze the rich, but the scope for this may be more limited than US liberals would wish. Few Americans seem aware that the US income tax code, as a recent Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development study showed, is already one of the most progressive.* Even before the rise in top marginal rates promised by Mr Obama, the US income tax collects 45 per cent of its revenues from the highest-income deciles. Compare that with Britain at 39 per cent, Canada at 36 per cent, France at 28 per cent, Sweden at 27 per cent and an OECD average of 32 per cent.”

On April 2nd, Speaker Nancy Pelosi succeeded in passing her federal budget that outlines more than 3.5 trillion dollars in spending for fiscal year 2010. The non-partisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO) projected a 1.8 trillion dollar deficit for the current fiscal year (FY2009), and that projection does not include the stimulus bill that will cost Americans more than one trillion dollars, which was signed into law by the President on February 1st. As of April 7, 2009, the U.S. national debt stands at more than eleven trillion dollars (you can view the latest numbers here).

The sheer magnitude of Speaker Pelosi’s spending spree is mind boggling. Most of us do not use the number 1,000,000,000,000 in our daily lives, so it is difficult to attach tangible value to the figure. However, as Congress and the Administration continues spending your tax dollars trillions of dollars at a time, it is worthwhile to have a discussion about what these numbers really mean.

One of the simplest ways to get an idea of one trillion dollars is to consider the amount in terms of the passage of time. One million seconds is equal to roughly eleven days and twelve hours, and one billion seconds is thirty-two years. One trillion seconds equals thirty-two thousand years.

If you spent one million dollars every minute of every day, it would take you nearly two years to spend one trillion dollars. Apparently, that’s not fast enough for Speaker Pelosi. Under her budget, the government plans to spend 6.7 million dollars every minute during the next fiscal year alone.

There are 4.24 million people living in Kentucky. Raising one trillion dollars from every man, woman and child in the Commonwealth would require Kentuckians to contribute $235,849.05 each. $235,849.05 is enough money to pay for four years of tuition at the University of Kentucky for yourself and thirteen of your children or grandchildren.

In fact, one trillion dollars could pay for the college education at a four-year public institution for every student graduating high school across America from now until 2018. It could pay the rent of every renter in the nation for three years, or the mortgage of every homeowner for fourteen months. It is even enough money to purchase all the homes that were foreclosed in 2007 and 2008 combined.

Three recent polls show the GOP gaining ground on the generic ballot question, starting with an NPR survey conducted by Public Opinion Strategies (R) and Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research (D) that put the two parties exactly square: 42 percent for each. Independents, however, preferred the GOP, 39-30. Democrats led slightly overall, but trailed even worse among independents, in a Fox News/Opinion Dynamics poll out last week that phrased the generic ballot question in terms of curtailing Democratic power.

The latest Diageo/Hotline data gives Dems a little more breathing room, with the generic Democrat leading 37-32. But the trend line was clear: In January, 46 percent favored the generic Democrat; at the beginning of March, 40 percent did so. Independent voters, who at the beginning of March favored Democrats by 3 points, now lean towards Republicans by the same margin.

If these polls are early indicators of an independent break toward the minority party, it will be doubly surprising given those voters’ continued support for President Obama. Independents were crucial to the party’s success in 2008, going 52-44 for Obama last November and 51-43 for Democratic candidates, according to exit polls.

It’s a long time between now and the midterm elections, but obviously there’s every reason to be optimistic. Democrats are taking comfort in the fact that Obama’s ratings are significantly higher than those of Congress. But voters know that Obama has only been here a few months; they are unlikely to blame him for policies whose effectiveness they question. That’s likely to come a few months down the road, once they recognize that Obama is as much to blame as Congress for the problems in Washington.

After all, if you can buy a two-seater for one-third to one-quarter the price of a car, get around town conveniently and be seen as a savior of the environment, why would you stay in a bus or train? If the PUMA can be bought for a few thousand dollars – and it’s probably a safe bet that Obama will give taxpayer subsidies to ensure that – it’s likely to replace mass transit for thousands of regular riders.

Beyond that, this vehicle can’t be successful in most American cities today. Who will want to drive in this car next to regular passenger vehicles, trucks, SUVs, and even 18-wheelers? To allow the PUMA to thrive, most of the cars you currently see on the road will probably have to be sidelined. Presumably this will be only in major cities – at least initially. Liberals in Washington and in the major cities can accomplish this in several ways: by barring them entirely, limiting the hours in which they can operate, or by making legislative changes that make those vehicles unpopular – such as increasing gas prices.

SOURCE

And at least according to Fidel Castro, they were just as eager to apologize for America’s sins as Barack Obama has been.

Perhaps this group is acting with Obama’s blessing then.

Today’s news gives us reason to worry. Maybe Obama doesn’t want Americans to own cars at all; maybe he expects us to buy this… thing.

It’s a cute little toy actually, and I’m sure it’ll be very popular in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and other warm(ish) cities where liberals cluster. This might make a very nice second or third vehicle in such locales, to be used for little jaunts around the city.

There are a few problems with the PUMA though. First off, to the extent that it is successful, it’s likely to draw a lot of riders away from mass transit.
