Adjusting to tough economic times
When a company falls on difficult times, one of the
things that seems to happen is they reduce their staff and
workers. The remaining workers need to find ways to continue
to do a good job or risk that their job would be eliminated
as well. Wall street, and the media normally congratulate
the CEO for making this type of “tough decision”,
and his board of directors gives him a big bonus.
Our government should not be immune from similar
risks.

Therefore: Reduce the House of Representatives from
the current 435 members to 218 members and Senate members
from 100 to 50 (one per State). Also reduce remaining staff
by 25%.

Accomplish this over the next 8 years. (two steps /
two elections) and of course this would require some
redistricting.

Some Yearly Monetary Gains Include:

$44,108,400 for elimination of base pay for congress.
(267 members X $165,200 pay / member / yr.)

$97,175,000 for elimination of the above people’s
staff. (estimate $1.3 Million in staff per each member of
the House, and $3 Million in staff per each member of the
Senate every year)

$240,294 for the reduction in remaining staff by 25%.

$7,500,000,000 reduction in pork barrel ear-marks
each year. (those members whose jobs are gone. Current
estimates for total government pork earmarks are at $15
Billion / yr)

The remaining representatives would need to work
smarter and would need to improve efficiencies.  It might even
be in their best interests to work together for the good of
our country?

We may also expect that smaller committees might lead
to a more efficient resolution of issues as well. It might
even be easier to keep track of what your representative is
doing.

Congress has more tools available to do their jobs
than it had back in 1911 when the current number of
representatives was established. (telephone, computers, cell
phones to name a few)

Note:
Congress did not hesitate to head home when it was a
holiday, when the nation needed a real fix to the economic
problems. Also, we have 3 senators that have not been doing
their jobs for the past 18+ months (on the campaign trail)
and still they all have been accepting full pay. These facts
alone support a reduction in senators & congress.

Summary of opportunity:

$44,108,400 reduction of congress members.

$282,100, 000 for elimination of the reduced house
member staff.

$150,000,000 for elimination of reduced senate member
staff.

$59,675,000 for 25% reduction of staff for remaining
house members.

$37,500,000 for 25% reduction of staff for remaining
senate members.

$7,500,000,000 reduction in pork added to bills by
the reduction of congress members.

$8,073,383,400 per year, estimated total savings.
(that’s EIGHT BILLION DOLLARS, just to start!)

Big business does these types of cuts all the time.

If Congresspersons were required to serve 20, 25 or
30 years (like everyone else) in order to collect retirement
benefits there is no telling how much we would save. Now
they get full retirement after serving only ONE term.

IF you are happy how the Congress spends our taxes,
then just delete this message. IF you are NOT at all happy,
then I assume you know what to do.

Vote the bastards out of office!

This is really a sad time for the United States of America!  The Congress and Senate have passed the largest spending spree in our history. The government will be printing money backed up by nothing. When we were on the Gold Standard all money to be printed had to be backed up by GOLD! Now they can print the money, accountable to no one. Future generations will be paying for this mess for years and years. It just makes me sick! These young people who voted for Obama have no idea the path we are taking.

I  thought Jimmy Carter was one of the worst presidents to come along in years. But Obama will make Carter look like a real piker! God help us all.

We have numerous issues with the illegals in our country. Here are additional facts that should concern us all. We just can’t afford all this. Period!

Well here are some more facts!

  1. $11 Billion to $22 billion is spent on welfare to illegal aliens each year by state governments.*
  2. $2.2 Billion dollars a year is spent on food assistance programs such as food stamps, WIC, and free school lunches for illegal aliens.*
  3. $2.5 Billion dollars a year is spent on Medicaid for illegal aliens.*
  4. $12 Billion dollars a year is spent on primary and secondary school education for children here illegally.**
  5. $17 Billion dollars a year is spent for education for the American-born children of illegal aliens, known as anchor babies.**
  6. $3 Million Dollars a DAY is spent to incarcerate illegal aliens.**
  7. 30% percent of all Federal Prison inmates are illegal aliens.**
  8. $90 Billion Dollars a year is spent on illegal aliens for Welfare & social services by the American taxpayers.***
  9. $200 Billion dollars a year in suppressed American wages are caused by the illegal aliens.**
  10. The illegal aliens in the United States have a crime rate that’s two and a half times that of white non-illegal aliens.**
  11. During the year of 2005 there were 4 to 10 MILLION illegal aliens that crossed our Southern Border also, as many as 19,500 illegal aliens from Terrorist Countries. Millions of pounds of drugs, cocaine, meth, heroin and marijuana, crossed into the U. S from the Southern border.****
  12. In 2006 illegal aliens sent home $45 BILLION in remittances to their countries of origin.*****
  13. ‘The Dark Side’ of illegal immigration: Nearly One million sex crimes committed by illegal immigrants in the United States.******

By just going by this short list of items illegal aliens are costing the American people $400 billion a year. Well, the war in Iraq is hardly a blip on the radar then at $120 billion a year.

The facts speak for themselves, if we are going to take seriously our economic future. If we are going to take seriously the future we are giving our children, then we need to seriously get our priorities straight. We are spending nearly 4x as much money a year giving things for FREE to criminals. Illegal aliens are 4x more of a drain on the economy than the ENTIRE Iraq war.

So the next time the liberals are trying to push their agenda on you, remember, they are more willing to finance criminals than they are to protect you from terrorists, 4x more willing in fact.

The Amnesty onslaught is coming. Illegals are not going home but staying in the U.S. awaiting Mr. Obama’s promised citizenship.

We must be ready to take on the Pro-Amnesty Obama Administration and the Congress and make them do the job the Government is supposed to do.
